EMB’s rates vary based on practice size, average collections, and which provider specialties are being serviced.  Providers may see offers from other billing services for rates “starting as low as 2.49%,” but those come with downsides; mainly outsourcing overseas (both billing and patient service lines).

At EMB, everything is done in-house.  Don’t get sucked in by a billing service that advertises a “99% Claims Success Rate.”  This is a misleading number as it simply tells you the percentage of claims that were accepted for processing, not necessarily paid.

While EMB's primary focus is on alternative medicine, more specifically chiropractic, naturopath, and acupuncture, EMB works with other specialties on a case-by-case basis.

 Remember the old proverb, “Too many cooks in the kitchen”?  This can most certainly hold true for medical billing.  Working with a billing service that has multiple employees has both its upsides and downsides.  Most notably, what happens if the person you or a patient speak with on one occasion forgets to document the interaction?  The next person to work the account or problem may not know what needs to be done to address the issue.
